The ultimate purpose of life is to live.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body. But, rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting... "Woooo Hoooo, What a ride!"

Today 8 blessings givers gave the Oneness Blessing to the congregation at the church I participate in.  It was a time out of time experience of the presence of the Divine and Oneness.  Click the link to find out more about it, and to find events and centers near you.  May you all have the opportunity to experience it.

The last statement in the video is "Remember, the ultimate purpose of life is to live".

One of the tenets of the church I participate in is "I affirm that Soul Growth is the purpose of life."

October 6 I will be going to visit and say goodbye to the physical form of my metaphysical mentor for the last 22 years.  She has, as she puts it, had the Ally of Lung Cancer come into her body.  9 weeks ago she was given the prognosis of 6 to 8 weeks until her body died from the cancer.  I believe as she does that she has stretched out those weeks till now with a few more to go because her attitude isn't that she is dying.  She is living.  Until she dies.

Reading her online journal these past weeks has been an honor and a privilege.  I am sharing with you her view on life and living by letting her words speak:

July 7, 2009:  ...I am in deepest gratitude that I have been given a prognosis from the mainstream as well as messages from the great beyond because it is enabling me to have TIME before I enter the TIMELESS to talk with some of you, visit with some of you and share stories that are meaningful to us both. This is a great gift for me, it is filled with wonder and it fills my heart and eyes to overflowing to know how deeply loved I am from all of you and that I have made some bit of difference by living on this earth. It has been a wild ride but I wouldn't have missed it for the world....

July 17, 2009:   ...No matter how long we all do get to live none of us really have anything more than this moment to treasure, the sweet and the sacred, the blessings and the sorrows, all create this beautiful life. May each of you today have an opportunity to give love to another human being and may you also today allow yourself to receive another's giving. This my dear friends is enough, this is how we can make a difference, this is the way to create a world I look forward to returning to...

July 27, 2009: ...The physical form is almost in the way of true relationship, because true divine relationship is a feeling level relationship and this can not die with the body, this is what makes us so wonderful and magical and mystical.   I get to make one more move into the timeless, the eternal, the light and wisdom of universes I can only imagine in my mind. I am sorry to leave you here and can only hope that your grief is short or brief, that you don't dwell in what can't be, or what you wished it to be. That you treasure each day we spent or hour or few hours and value what gifts we received from each other and pay them forward in this life with as many people as you can....

There is more, much more, but I think you see what is possible if you choose to live ..... rather than wait to die. I invite you to live a life worth living, to be able to look back at your life at the end of it without regrets of "If I had only....".

Thank you, Megan, for always showing us the way.........
